Description

Meet Amy and share in her adventures with her family and friends! Why would an old lady like Aunt Roberta possibly be interesting to a young girl? What is the solution to the mysteries of Ardfuar? How do you cope when you try your best for God, and it all goes wrong?

Amy is a young girl who leads a normal life, and who, like us, finds it difficult to understand and put into practice what God says in the Bible. Learn with her the lessons that God teaches her in these four exciting stories.

Stories sounding real

This is a lovely book of stories that are linked by the same girl featuring in each one. They are simple stories that could happen in real life and I loved the way the christian belief is embedded in the stories in a non pretentious easy way. The book would may a lovely christmas present for any one . I think it is sad the title specifies "for girls" . True the central character is a girl but " The secret garden" has a heroine but is read by everyone! You could give this book to any person that you wanted to encourage to see God in everyday situations. I enjoyed it and I think other older people would like it as well!

"Good stories"

Amy and her friend Lisa share most of their free time as Lisa had no brothers or sisters to play with. They visit an elderly Aunt together and when Lisa's family move away, Amy continues to visit. She also meets Lisa at Church camp and then goes to stay with her. The stories are based around these events, and how the girls try to live as they have been taught at church and home. Good stories, well told. GoodBookStall Review - 05/09/2007 - Mary Bartholomew
