Description

The Bible is more than just another book; it is God’s Holy Word.  It is the expression of his mind and heart. Too often we neglect the Bible in favour of other pursuits. This book is intended, with God’s help, to bring the reader back to the Book of books itself.  The Old Testament is made up of 39 books. Each of these introduced, and questions for discussion follow.  The aim of this book is to help the reader (whether he or she has read the Bible or not) to understand its message more clearly and, above all, to walk more closely with God himself.

About the Author:

Oh, so helpful !

One of a lovely pair of books, clearly and simply written and attractively presented. As an ex-Social Worker and Pastor, Gavin Childress has combined simplicity of language with a good expositor's mind. I had hoped these two books would be of help to people whose second language is English - I am not disappointed. For a group of young-in-the-faith Christians a set of these books would be an invaluable aid to regular weekly/monthly study. For older Christians, too, these two books will also help to provide a sound description of, and confidence with, some of the lesser-known books of the Bible
